How to Get More Trustpilot Reviews

Business Advice | 26 January 2023 | 1 year ago

As a business, word of mouth and recommendations mean a lot. It’s a way to tell people that you provide a good service and others think so too. However, it’s not enough to simply add a review or two to your website, as these could be seen as biased and one sided. A lot of people look elsewhere for reviews, which is why it’s important to get more Trustpilot reviews.

What is Trustpilot?

Trustpilot is a website that gives people a way to review businesses online. Businesses from around the world can be found on Trustpilot and millions of reviews are posted every month, making it a ‘go to’ place for anyone wanting to find out how reliable and trustworthy a business is.

Why Are Trustpilot Reviews Important?

There are a lot of businesses out there, and standing out as one worth paying attention to can be tough. Regardless of whether they are looking for a product or service, people have dozens of options of who to choose. Building up a selection of good reviews on Trustpilot is a key way to stand out, make a statement and show that you are a business that can be trusted.

How to Get More Trustpilot Reviews

There are a number of ways to get more reviews on Trustpilot, some of which we have listed below.

  • Add Trustpilot to Your Website – One of the simplest ways of getting more Trustpilot reviews is to add Trustpilot to your website. Not only does this tell people that you have a presence on Trustpilot and are accepting reviews, but it showcases existing reviews and testimonials. If someone is on the fence about using your business, seeing reviews from other customers could be enough to sway them into finding out more.
  • Follow Up with Emails – As a business, it’s important to follow up with your customers or clients. It’s an effective way of showing that you genuinely care about them and the service they received. When you do this, ask them about their experience with your business and encourage them to leave a review. A lot of people forget to leave a review on Trustpilot, but a follow up email is an excellent reminder.
  • Ask in Person – There is no shame in asking someone to leave you a review on Trustpilot, and it’s an effective way of doing so. Once someone has checked out, encourage them to review the business and tell others about their experience. This can be done in person or it can be part of the confirmation stage at the end of an order.
Remember, a customer or client is more likely to leave a review if you have a personal relationship. It’s unlikely that someone will review every business they use, so you need to stand out and show them that you are a business worth reviewing.
